Lofi Café in Siem Reap: My Favourite Spot to Work in the city !

VY La rédaction de Voyages Yolo

I don't know about you, but I always struggle to find a café where I can actually get work done. In Siem Reap, Wi-Fi isn't really the issue: you'll find it almost everywhere. The real problem is battery life. My laptop doesn't last long, and a café with no plugs means one hour of work, tops, before I have to pack up.

I found Lofi Café a 10-minute walk from my place, on Makara Road. Since then, I come here all the time with my laptop under my arm. Quick but important note: this is not a collaboration. Nobody invited me or paid me to write this. I'm writing it because I love this place!

Lofi Café at a glance

  • Address: Chun Lung Village, 10 Makara Road, Siem Reap
  • Opening hours: every day, 7am to 6pm
  • Prices: drinks from $1 to $2.25
  • For working: plugs and power strips everywhere, proper tables and comfortable chairs, fans, a garden sheltered from the rain
  • Bonus: sugar level of your choice (or no sugar at all), pastries, bike and scooter parking across the street

A laptop-friendly café in Siem Reap, with plugs everywhere

That's the number one reason I come here. There are plugs. And if your table is too far from the wall, the staff will bring you a power strip. You can sit wherever you like in the garden: there will always be an extension cord long enough to reach you. When you work on a laptop all day, as a digital nomad or a freelancer, that changes everything.

The Wi-Fi is there too, like in most cafés in town. I've never run a speed test, so I won't give you a number, but I work here regularly and it has never been the reason I left.

Proper tables for long work sessions

There are two vibes. On one side, low tables, perfect for a relaxed coffee or a chat. On the other, proper tables with comfortable chairs, for anyone who wants to sit down and work for hours without ending the day with a sore back. It sounds silly, but plenty of pretty cafés are useless for working because of this: sofas too soft, tables too low, and after an hour you give up.

Outdoors, but sheltered from the rain and the heat

Everything happens outside, in the garden, with covered areas. During the rainy season, you keep working in the dry while the downpour comes down right next to you. Under those shelters there are fans, so it doesn't get too hot.

A small touch I really appreciate: the staff burn mosquito-repellent incense. When you sit outside for hours in Cambodia, that's far from a detail.

A cosy, very Instagrammable garden

The garden is full of plants. It's green, it's soft, it's really cosy. It feels good whether you're there for a four-hour work session or a ten-minute coffee.

And it's clearly aesthetic. Between the greenery and the colourful layered drinks (the matchas, especially the Pink Cloud and the Blue Cloud, are very photogenic), your camera roll will fill up fast. If you're looking for an Instagrammable café in Siem Reap, you've found it.

Staff who really look after you

The moment you arrive, you're welcomed with a smile. Every time. The staff take great care of you: the power strip they bring over, the fan they switch on, the incense they set down next to you. And above all, they adjust everything on request. Less sugar, no sugar at all, a slightly tweaked drink: they do it without any fuss.

That's what makes the difference. There are plenty of cafés in Siem Reap. Cafés you want to come back to every day, far fewer.

The Lofi Café menu: drinks from $1 to $2.25

Prices are fair, and the drinks are good. The menu shows everything in dollars and in riel (4,000 riel for $1). Here's what you'll find, with prices taken from the café's menu in October 2026:

  • Toppings: oat milk ($0.25), bubbles ($0.35), egg cream or cheese cream ($0.50)

A little detail I love: when a drink runs out, the staff stick a scrap of paper saying "sold" right on the menu. Simple and effective.

Lofi Café menu, Siem Reap

My healthy pick: red tea, no sugar

When I'm in a healthy phase, I take my drinks with no sugar at all, and here it's never a problem: just ask. My go-to is red tea without sugar. On the menu, the Red Tea Lime is $1 and the Red Milk Tea $1.25. For more indulgent days, the Egg Cream Coffee or the Salt Cheese Cream Coffee are there for that.

What about food?

There are always a few pastries at the counter, like croissants and pains au chocolat. They're not on the drinks menu: check the counter to see what's available that day and ask for the price.

Lofi Café or coworking space: who is it for?

Lofi Café is perfect if you're a digital nomad, a freelancer, a student or working remotely, and you want half a day or a full day of laptop work in a pleasant setting, for the price of one or two drinks. No day pass is shown on the menu: you order, you settle in.

That said, it's still a café, not a coworking space. If you need a meeting room, an external monitor or air conditioning, have a look at my list of coworking spaces open in Siem Reap.

My tip: get there early. The café opens at 7am, and the morning is the best time to work in the cool before the afternoon heat kicks in.

My verdict on Lofi Café

Plugs everywhere, proper tables, fans, a garden sheltered from the rain, smiling staff who adjust every drink, and prices between $1 and $2.25: for me, it's the best café to work from in Siem Reap. If you're passing through, bring your laptop. And if you spot someone with an unsweetened red tea and a laptop plugged into a power strip, there's a good chance it's me. Come and say hi!
